Ang Rita “The Snow Leopard” Many of us now refer to ourselves as trekkers, adventurers, thrill seekers, mountaineers, and a variety of other terms, but I don't believe any of us have ever tried to find someone inspiring, someone whose life can serve as an example to those who consider themselves to be adventurers or mountaineers. While browsing the internet one day, I came upon Mr. Ang Rita aka Snow Leopard. I read the post and was enthralled by this man's life storey and his journey from working as a porter to climbing Mount Everest. Life Journey Ang Rita was born to agricultural parents in the mountain village of Yillajung, Nepal, in 1948. Because there were none accessible, Ang Rita did not attend school. As a result, he maintained yaks on mountain pastures and transported commodities into Tibet, all the while staring at the surrounding peaks, which were snowcapped and unimaginably high. Ang Rita quit farming at the age of 15 to work as a porter to help support his f...

Why Kerala is called “God’s Own Country”? Hello! Reader last December I got an opportunity to visit “God’s own country” along with my family and it was an amazing experience for all of us. Kerala has got something for everyone. We a landed on the Kochi airport and were awe struck by looking at the solar panels field around the airport area, our driver told us that whole airport is being powered by using them only. God’s Own Country: According to my research Kerala Tourism was looking for the tagline to advertise Kerala as a tourist paradise and all of the sudden a marketing company came out with this tagline, though some thought it would reflect ego (one is it’s declaring itself God’s own country) but the chance was taken and the rest is history. Does it really justify the title given? Yes, it’s located in the southern part of India. Kerala has it all from plains to lakes to ponds to backwaters to fresh water lake to white sandy beaches you just have to name it, Kerala ...
